The Jewish Center formally opened it’s doors in 1951, although it began operations in 1950. With a large bowling alley, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a health club and numerous meeting rooms, the building quickly became the center of Jewish community life. Cultural activities, sports, education and community services were all available in one location and were available to all of the Jewish population regardless of affiliations.
