The Leventhal Video Memoir Project is founded and produced by Aaron Leventhal in collaboration with his daughter, Dani ReStack, an associate professor in art at The Ohio State University. Aaron’s wife, Beth Leventhal Ervin provides logistical support for producing the films.  The project records outstanding Jewish artists in the community. The project videos will be preserved at the Columbus Jewish Historical Society so that they may be available to the public.

Rosen, a Columbus native and former Creative Director at the Thurber House, has been involved in the creation of more than 150 books. He is the recipient of numerous awards including the National Jewish Book Award for “Elijah’s Angel: A Story for Chanukah and Christmas” and was named a fellow of the Ohio Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. A special screening was held at the Jewish Community Center on December 1, 2024.

The first Leventhal Video Memoir’s subject was Mimi Chenfeld, interviewed by Aaron Leventhal, and is embedded below the Rosen video on this page.
